Faux Finishes

…are a wonderful way to personalize your room, home, office, space… to create an atmosphere by adding paints, colorants, glazes, textures, or patterns to your walls or ceilings.  Originally the term “faux finish” referred specifically to the technique of using paint to re-create or emulate something already existing in nature, such as wood, marble, leather – but it has developed to include decorative painting techniques as well, like colorwashes and venetian plaster.  The field of faux finishing, though hundreds of years old, is constantly being updated and changed, with each artist developing, altering, creating to meet the needs of the client or the space in which they are working.
When you invite a faux finish artist into your home, you are creating a backdrop for your life.
